I've doubled down on RSS recently. I use PHP to tweak my Mastodon RSS. All my Google alerts are RSS, not email.. Many of my IFTTT applets are triggered by RSS. And let's not forget that podcasting is just RSS.

Totally agree. Recently restored the RSS feed for jordanmechner.com that, for a few years there, I’d foolishly thought was “outdated”.
