The next Montreal protest in support of the people of Palestine is this SATURDAY (OCTOBER 28) at 2pm. Rendez-vous: The Cartier Monument at the foot of Mont-Royal on Parc Avenue (near 4040 Parc). Let's attend in large numbers!
International solidarity through worldwide protests -- thousands in big cities; hundreds in smaller locations -- is one powerful means of support for the people of Palestine, particularly those Palestinians living in Gaza who have been brutally subjected to murderous war crimes by the Israeli state. The status quo is illegal and brutal occupation, but Israel is perpetrating blatant crimes of war against civilians in Gaza, with the full support -- including military, diplomatic and public relations support -- of countries like the USA and Canada. But, the worldwide protests -- from the Middle East and the rest of Asia to Africa, Europe, Oceania and the Americas -- has been inspiring and necessary, and an important counter-measure to complicity with genocide. These protests are essential when many pro-Israel apologists openly call for bans on pro-Palestinian protests. This weekend, join the protest near you; if there isn't one, organize one in the coming days! In Montreal, let's gather again this Saturday (rendez-vous: 2pm at the foot of Mont-Royal on Parc).
Free Palestine! ✊🏾
